The National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) announced the planting of 120 trees on Shaikh Salman Avenue, supported by SICO Bank. The project supports efforts to expand Bahrain’s green spaces and promote sustainability.
SICO employees, their families, officials, and environmental enthusiasts actively participated in planting the trees. The activity reflected the society’s commitment to social partnership, environmental protection, and sustainability.
The project forms part of NIAD’s “Forever Green” campaign, aimed at collaborating with various institutions and entities across the Kingdom to enhance green spaces. The campaign supports carbon neutrality efforts and contributes to improving quality of life and achieving ecological balance.
NIAD highlighted the importance of public-private sector partnerships in supporting environmental initiatives.
The initiative emphasised the pivotal role of institutions and companies in raising community awareness and encouraging participation in environmental activities. It also underlined the significance of continuing such projects as part of Bahrain’s vision to promote sustainable development and environmental balance.
