The National Initiative for the Development of the Agricultural (NIAD) announced that it received support from Trafco Group B.S.C. to afforest the Hoora Health Centre in the Capital Governorate as part of the third phase of the national afforestation campaign “Forever Green”.
A total of 29 seedlings of shade and flowering trees and shrubs, including Hibiscus thalassus, Poinciana, Rolia, and Cassia glauca, were planted in the centre’s yard to expand the green area and support national initiatives to mitigate climate change. This action aligns with Bahrain’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 13, focusing on climate action and environmental protection.
Trafco’s involvement is part of collaborative initiatives between the public and private sectors in Bahrain to implement environmental projects across different regions under the national afforestation campaign “Stay Green.” This effort aims to align with local and global endeavors toward achieving zero carbon neutrality by 2060.
