The National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) and Talabat Bahrain announced the signing of a cooperation agreement aimed at supporting the national tree-planting campaign “Forever Green” by providing a platform that facilitates individual participation in the campaign’s greening projects.
The MoU was signed by Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the NIAD, and Moayed Aqel, Managing Director of Talabat Bahrain.
This partnership allows Talabat application users to directly support designated planting sites through credit or prepaid card payments, offering a convenient and straightforward way for individuals to contribute to environmental protection and the expansion of green spaces in the Kingdom.
The collaboration aligns with Talabat Bahrain’s commitment to social and environmental responsibility and its efforts to enhance active community engagement, reflecting the values and customs of Bahraini society.
Shaikha Maram bint Isa highlighted that the collaboration with Talabat represents a significant step in strengthening community partnerships to achieve the objectives of the national tree-planting campaign.
She emphasised that NIAD encourages public-private cooperation in addressing environmental challenges. She also underscored that this collaboration with Talabat opens new avenues for individuals to actively participate in the greening of the Kingdom, promoting environmental sustainability and enhancing the quality of life.
